We enrich it with the data we already hold, down to individual records, keeping the joint structure intact.
The same work, opened up.
Day to day we model every resident of all 50 states, down to the census block, from more than 200 public datasets already joined. Planning teams use it instead of paying to assemble the same data again for every plan.
The enrichment is the part that takes the work, and it gets better the more that goes into it. This is that part, opened to the people whose data it runs on.
What that looks like for planning teams
The population model, the data behind it, and what it is used for.
Everything built on public data inherits whatever happens to public data.
If a table stops being published, or its geography changes, every model downstream moves with it. Pooling administrative data does not remove that dependency. It stops it being the only one.
What happens next.
You send it
Administrative extracts, local surveys, a table built for one project and never published. The more detail than the published tables carry, the more use it is.
We enrich it
It is matched onto individual records and enriched with the data we already hold, rather than stacked alongside it. Holding the joint structure while that happens is the part that is hard.
It comes back
Enriched, and shared with everyone taking part.
Your dataset.
Please zip your documentation and metadata in with the data.
